Islamic Research and Training Institute
The Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) is the research wing of the Islamic Development Bank group, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. IRTI was established in 1401H (1981G) to undertake research and provide training and information services in the member countries of the Islamic Development Bank and Muslim communities in non-member countries to help bring their economic, financial and banking activities into conformity with Shari’ah and to further economic development and cooperation amongst them.
IRTI is presently composed of four Divisions and three support units: Islamic Economics, Cooperation and Development Division (IECD), Islamic Banking and Finance Division (IBFD), Training Division (TD) and Information Centre (IRTIC). The two Research Divisions conduct in-house research and manage external Research in their respective areas. The Training Division manages training programs for the personnel engaged in development activities in member countries as well as for those working in the Islamic banking and financial institutions. The Information Centre is responsible for developing information systems in the areas assigned to IRTI.
Al Jamia Al Islamiya
Al Jamia Al Islamiya is a university of repute situated in Malappuram district of Kerala. It was established in 1955 to educate the backward Muslim student with a mix of Islamic and modern vistas of knowledge to equip him to lead the society on the basis of principles of humanity, peace and justice enshrined in the Quran. It has faculties including Islamic Studies, Islamic Jurisprudence, Comparative Religion, Quranic Studies, Hadeeth, Islamic Economics and Finance etc. The University also offers research opportunities in varied subjects and has a well equipped IT and language labs and a Centre for Human resource Development to enable the students develop their soft skills.
